I stand all amazed. You'd figure it'd just be easier to learn to read music by that point.

Yeah really, if you know where the note is on the keyboard, which at that point you'd have to, why not just learn to read the sheet music? Boy, sometimes it takes more effort to be lazy than it does to just do it the right way.
