I was doing okay til I got to the harmonics and then I had a sad.

Yeah I kinda made this to practice artificial harmonics. I have to change my grip on the pick a certain way to execute them effectively. Also, I personally prefer to use jazz picks for this particular piece. They seem to make it easier, for me at least.

If anything, you could just play those notes without making them harmonics. It would be roughly the same, just an octave lower that what was intended.

Kara are you having trouble with pinch harmonics? This video helped me get them down easily. The guy is kind of goofy, but he makes it plain as day how simple they are. I know they're harder to hear on acoustic, but still.

Those aren't the kind of artificial harmonics used in this, but that guy does to a decent job explaining how to do those.

Let's see if I can explain this well enough. . . The artificial harmonics I use in this are similar to natural harmonics. The difference being the fretting hand holds down a note while the right hand simultaneously touches a spot on the string 12 frets higher than what is being fretted AND plucks the string. I guess this is more of a classical guitar style of an artificial harmonic. Hope that makes sense.

Also, I guess I should mention that this wasn't meant to be a fingerstyle piece like it says at the top. I think I said that in the forum topic I posted, but it's not that serious. I haven't even tried finger picking it, but I'm sure it works out just as well. Whatever works lol

EDIT: Now that I think of it, the harmonic I described is definitely better suited for finger picking than flat picking. Doesn't require an awkward grip change/right hang movement.
