Agreed, rate the tab based on accuracy.
Or if it's an arrangement, rate it on how much you like the interpretations along with accuracy.

I didn't rate it on difficulty, I can play it just fine, the issue was that it sounded far from cosmo canyon and I disliked it, and so I rated it accordingly. In my opinion it's not a very good interpretation, and the new rhythm kills the original song, but like I said it's good that some people can enjoy this; I'm not here to try to offend anyone. I'm rating from my opinion, just like everyone else here; we all hear music differently :)

Not really. This is one of the better tabs on this site, its very simple, its got great timing, follows the tune exactly, and it catches all the right chord changes. If you really felt that it isn't accurate, you probably don't rate any tab at a 5/5, and I'm not happy about that.

That initial statement you made really sounds like you can't read music very well. This is a pretty simple song and if you "couldnt get to grips with this at all" it just means you need more practice. It's hard to interpret what you said as anything else.
Since you don't think it's accurate, which part do you dislike? I'm sure, for arguement's sake, you could show a small example of a problem with this song. Or are you just being a dick? The latter sounds more likely from your reaction to me.
Or do you just not know the difference between an arrangement and a transcription?

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware its a requirement to play guitar fluently to post your opinion to this website. Clearly I wasn't trying to be a dick which is why I mentioned it looks like a lot of people are enjoying it.
The part that I disliked was that it sounded too far from Cosmo Canyon for my personal liking. I listened to the video of an adaptation that was linked and while I appreciate the music, in reference to Cosmo Canyon I felt it didn't fit.
Try not to be an asshole now and then, and remember that other people can have opinions too. Do you think every great album and movie doesn't get a bad review every now and then? Keep on trolling, I'm going to continue to play the songs I enjoy and post my opinions on the ones I don't regardless of what you say.

I understand that everything can get a bad review, I asked you to point out a part that could be fixed, and you've yet to do that.

Arguably the worst re-imagination I have ever heard of this song.
I question if the composer has actually ever heard Cosmo Canyon.
Whilst musically it works, this is so far removed from the original track it shouldn't be on this site

This is the best fn cosmo canyon tab online period.
Now I will say that, I do change many notes around.
If I play it strictly the way it's tabbed out it definitely sounds off and weird. So I can totally see where you're coming from.
But that just goes for everyday. Sometimes you simply have to take the base of their arrangement and fill it notes however it sounds best to you. Even with the greatest guitarists, sometimes you just gotta tweak things to make it perfect according to your ears.
But if you take that into consideration then this is by far the best cosmo canyon around.

Excellent arrangement. 5 stars for imagination, obviously. And of course the midi sounds bad. In a midi, the many supporting notes get the same emphasis as the melody.
I bet if the critics heard a well-done performance, they'd say "Wait, he's cheating! He's playing some notes louder than others!"
That said I think everyone jumped on OP's ass a bit hard about having a different opinion. People are allowed to have different opinions--even without justification. Just like people are allowed to 5-star and compliment absolutely abysmal tabs.
