This would be a lot easier to read if the rhythm and lead parts were separated, but this is good nonetheless!

From what I can play, it sounds very good. But as suggested above, sperate them. I cant play anything after the 3rd Section.

Your comments are kind of confusing to me (no offense). Separate them? You mean have a guitar 1 and guitar 2? That would sort of defeat the purpose of playing it on one guitar. Can you not play anything after the 3rd section because it's unreadable? (although I don't see how this tab is any more unreadable than any of my other tabs...but maybe all my tabs are indecipherable) Can you be any more specific on what you mean by separating them?

I'm still pretty new with guitar tabs, do the asterisks actually mean anything?

the asterixes are just repeat signs

seriously Stamen, if you made an album I would buy it.

me too.

it´s good as it is. Don´t understand why they want you to separate it.

Thx, Ive just discovering this incredible tab now!!!

Silly to want a separate lead and rhythm...epic tab :)
@musenji 12 years ago
I agree that this tab doesn't need to be separated, but to those who don't understand why a person would want it separated, or who think it is silly, try playing it yourself at tempo. That means like 90 beats (quarter notes) per minute.
If you're good enough to actually play it, then you must from experience know that in the spectrum of video game music tabs, this one is difficult.
The point of splitting it would be to make it easier, and I find it totally understandable that some people less experienced with advanced left hand shifting (yes, I said advanced) would think it wasn't possible. It was a pain in --my-- ass, and I've had two years of formal classical training.
Sassy pants has spoken.

I didn't mean anything by it, and the use of the word silly was excessive I s'pose. I think I'm used to assuming that if I can't play something it's just because I need more practice at it lol.

I agree with everything you said Musenji, except for your opinion of the difficulty of this piece. I suppose it's nitpicking in the face of your other points, but I'd say this falls in the advanced intermediate (if intermediate is a B, advanced intermediate is a B+. Advanced is A) category.
This piece is definitely tricky, especially when you have to keep it up tempo, but there wasn't really much that was particularly demanding in and of itself. For me, that's what separates advanced pieces from all the rest.
I know that's a fairly personal standpoint, but I'm sure there are other players that will agree that in terms of technique this piece is not among the most demanding on the site. I'm speaking from a classical background as well, so I'm not just making it up as I go along haha. My lessons went on for over 3 years I think, I've been going on my own since.

Well, there are quite a few pieces on the site that are unreasonably demanding (or even physically impossible), and I would agree this one doesn't sit on their tier.
...But I don't really count those as worth being considered in such a question. I would say that this one is among the most difficult of the reasonably demanding pieces.
And we might disagree about which pieces are unreasonably demanding.
My point about taking lessons wasn't to place myself as an authority--it was to say, if someone who took formal training for two years still thinks it's tough, then what are we expecting of people with no formal training? Having formal training should bias one toward thinking pieces were easier. (Then again I might just suck at guitar regardless of training, but I hope a few of my recordings show that I don't, haha)
On the other hand, and to make the discussion more general, in formal training we tend to play pieces that were composed for guitar, and done well. On a site like this, you'll see a lot of tabs that clearly display a lack of knowledge of the ergonomics of fretting.

just change the 6s on the A string to 1s on the D string and the 5s on the E string to 0 on the A string and youll have a much easier time with this song if youre not as flexible when it comes to hitting those note combinations.
