I could do a really shitty recording (my camera is TERRIBLE) and it wouldn't be my best performance but it would demonstrate that the song is really not that hard to play.

I think the hard part about the song would be making sure the right notes are ringing out or not allowed to ring out which is not something I'm good at managing.

If there's something in specific you are struggling with please post about it though and I'll do my best to help.

How long have you been playing guitar for? Maybe you should learn some basic chords or easier songs first. You can also just play the highest note and ignore the rest if you really want.

Karathrow is right, the song isn't too hard, intermediate level at most. It's just a bunch of barre chords.

IMO, the time since you've started playing an instrument isn't a good judge of your skill level. I started playing 10 months ago but I try to deliberately practice for over 2 hours/day.

EDIT: I started with classical guitar and I feel that really helped me improve my fingerstyle technique, you should check out some classical guitar books such as "Frederick Noad's Solo Guitar".

The chords aren't too bad I don't think, but I've got a feeling it's the picking pattern he's having trouble with. That's what I'm struggling with too. Which fingers do you use when playing the parts with lots of 2-note chords moving around the strings, like the start of bar 2? I'm trying it with index and middle, but I'm finding it quite tricky.

Also, you shouldn't assume someone is a beginner because they can't play a song you can. I admit, it's an easy trap to fall into, assuming that a song you find easy to play is easy for everyone, but you have to look at things objectively.

Those three 2-note chords are played in this order like so:

P + I
I + M
M + A

P = thumb, I = index, M = middle, A = ring. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I think that makes more sense, thanks. Still a little tricky, but it'll come with practice.

Playing it like that got me thinking you could probably also do it like:

P + I
P + M
P + A

I'll give both a try and see which is best. Thanks again.

This is a really really cool tab. I love all of your work though kenor you pick the best pieces.

Anywho I'm struggling with keeping the notes muted immediately after playing them. It's hard for me to keep it all in mind at once but hopefully I'll get it down.

Also I don't think this is unplayable at all. Maybe at full tempo it's worse though, Idunno.
