@xile 17 years ago

Dude, that sounds so awesome, i'm trying to memorize all of it right now.

@christopher 17 years ago

whats a whole and half and eighth and sixteenth and thirty secondth and sixteenth? im a noob and have been playing for about three days as of this comment

@archard 17 years ago

Those are tablature's way of representing timing. Kind of like the different shaped notes in normal sheet music.

@Kabukibear 17 years ago

It's a way to notate the note durations. http://www.alcorn.edu/musictheory/Version2/theory1/duration.htm

@arcus 17 years ago

How shall I place the fingers for the fast parts?

@xile 17 years ago

So like am I the only person here who has been playing the guitar for less than a year? Dude, those 32nd notes are killing me lol. It's been a while.

@Kabukibear 17 years ago

lol you're not the only one no worries. I put in that optional section for people like Ron. ;)

@michiro 17 years ago

No, it's fun. One of the greatest things about learning the guitar is starting out with the hard stuff. I'm actually lucky to play like those who have been playing for nearlly 3 years. I don't have a classic, would it help me a bit?

@Kabukibear 17 years ago

If that's the style you are playing then I would say yes. The guitar necks are different and it aids in playing the more complex fingerings this piece, and classical guitar music in general, requires.

@michiro 17 years ago

Yeah. That's actually what I'm looking for. Because on the acoustic some stuff is so hard to reach, like for instance 4-5 frets from index finger to the pinky. My fingers aren't that big, so yeah.

@Nicholas Evans 17 years ago

Wow... I never remember Mario being so scary. Playing this on the electric probably wasn't the best idea o.o

@Kabukibear 17 years ago

@michiro

You might consider buying a smaller size classical then. Classical frets are even more spaced out than electric or acoustic so if you have trouble reaching 4-5 fret stretches on electric or acoustic it's going to be worse on a classical.

@Sanitarium 17 years ago

Boy oh boy, this is a hard tune. Someone should master it and then post a video of it on YouTube, because it's really hard to find copies of this song. There's a metal version of it on Youtube, keywords being "I'm going to play the Bowser tune again" and there's some German kid pretending to play it.

@ronito 17 years ago

I played in a concert about a year or so ago (remember Kabuki?) maybe I should work it up....of course I'd have to get something to record it with.

@LGstryker 17 years ago

Wow, this is pretty sick. I can play half of this song on a piano, but guitar?...

@Kooriryuujin 16 years ago

Wow. That is a pretty uber freaking awesome song. Now if only I could play it...

@vaporeonfarts 16 years ago

wtf...

@snoman 16 years ago

It sounds perfect, but it's so difficult...

And I think that's how it should be. Good work.

@ciscokid90 16 years ago

exceptional i must say, youve done something pretty sweet here, thank you for it

@McAngusYoung 16 years ago

Just to comment on some people here. No offense to anyone because when I started playing (been going for almost 5 yrs now) I didn't know any of tose time signatures or anything either. The one thing that I can say is to try and learn music theory because then you could easily figure these out on your own. EASILY!

@Maximillian 16 years ago

Holy crap, that song is beast. Absolutely fantastic.

@CanisArctus 16 years ago

Now THIS is a shredfest :D Gonna be a pleasure to try to memorize this ^^ Great tab =)

@silverrida 15 years ago

Am I the only one who saw this and just thought "no way". I honestly don't think that I will EVER be able to play this correctly. I can only just barely finger pick. Oh, well. I'm off to find another song.

@Colin_spade 15 years ago

Ive forgoten to rate and comment. woo. very nice man. a challenge ive just got the speed down. amazing. ^^

@Rohanz882 15 years ago

looks hard but its really not, nice tab

@definiteleydan 15 years ago

Final Bowser Theme

Played on the piano.

@Nemus 14 years ago

This brings back memories from when I was 7 years old fighting the ultimate king of all koopas... So long king Bowser!

@CowboyCannibal 14 years ago

Man! Here am i gettin real good at using picks, when all of a sudden a bad-ass song i can learn comes along and i gotta re-learn how to finger pick! Man! :)

@.codeveronica 14 years ago

I wish that you would have tabbed it to the original. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCZ-TDy1gP0&feature=related

It's nothing like this. I like your tab and it's impressive, it just doesn't go to this.

@malicious_Muse 14 years ago

Theres Some REALY talented people here, but you know what song would be truly glorious, the smithy battle on Mario RPG, the one with the organs. thanks for the great tabs justin.

@dandan321 13 years ago

KabukiBear, I have to thank you for your awesome arrangements. Honestly, my acoustic chops probably would've never improved if you didn't post these. Luckily, you arrange all of my favourite tunes, like a ton of Yasunori Mitsuda tunes! =D

@Maikoi92 13 years ago

Hey Kabuki, is it just me or does the GP file slow down to 60bpm in measure 12? If not that, it's probably GP6 that can't handle the awesomeness! I redownloaded twice and both times the GP file slowed down to 60bpm, but in the pdf there is no 60bpm mark.

And awesome job of course! :)

@Locke24 12 years ago

This is one of those tabs that is easy to finger and play but kinda hard to get up to full speed, my hand doesn't want to play one bass note per two notes quickly somehow and trips over itself ^^ the insanely fast optional part is really fun

Awesome tab as always kabuki

@Locke24 12 years ago

This is a great tab but.. can ANYONE play this?? XD

@fatalfable 12 years ago

salem had one but Ill do it one of these days when my nails grow back if you want

@thedstring 10 years ago

Still in love with this tab!

@cyx77 9 years ago

This should be the top tab on this site.

@Wroogny 7 years ago

Do you have/can you make a video of this?

@NeroTheGrinch 7 years ago

Man, this is a 10 year old tab. Anyways, astounding tab, playing it is such a fun challenge for my fingers.

@GabrielBocanegra 3 years ago

2007.... You must be so good 14 years later if you were able to do this in 2007 damn.
