Before submitting your tab, make sure it adheres to the following:
e--------------------------------------- B--------------------------------------- G--------------------------------------- D--9-10-----12----------10-9-10--------- A--------12----------------------12-12-- E---------------------------------------
The number of lines should match the number of strings on the instrument the tab represents, the lines should be preceded with the note of the open string (E for the 6th string, G for the 3rd string, for example), and the ends of each line should match up. If your tab is wider than 110 columns, you may be asked to edit it down to fit on the site.
Name of song Name of game Composer of song Name of tabber Date tab was made
Once your tab conforms to the above guidelines, take the following steps to submit it:

It's not uncommon that a tab will contain more than one file. This happens a lot when the tab is accompanied by non text files like Guitar Pro (.gp5), Power Tab (.ptb), or PDF files (.pdf). If this happens, please submit a ZIP file with all the included files in it PLUS another text file that shows exactly how you want the tab to be displayed on the site.
For example, if you submit a Guitar Pro tab with two tracks, you should submit a ZIP file that contains the .gp5 file, one .txt file for each track and one extra .txt with the entire tab as you want it to be displayed. Note that the extra file must adhere to the guidelines outlined in the first part of this post.
When posting text for a tab on the forum, create tab page, or comment use pre tags between the text.
<pre>text</pre>
Type those two tags and place your tab in the middle where it says text. This will format the tab evenly for readability.
Non-Game Music
The purpose of the Gametabs.net is to share songs made for video games; anything that was not made for a game unfortunately is not in the spirit of video game music (Japanese Anime being an exception). If you have something that was not made for a game check these forum threads for rules of what is acceptable for the main site and what should be posted in these threads.

Are you asking when your tab will uploaded by mods? It looks like you haven't submitted your tab yet. But tabs typically are posted within a day or two.

The PDF you posted will not open. Can you upload a text file like Kiku said. Just make the tab in notepad and save it as a .txt file.

Can I copy/paste the tab from an office org document to notepad?

Yes, but it might screw up the formatting and paste it all in one long line. If that happens you have to just hit enter at the end of each line to organize it.

Hello there, I'm new around here so I have trouble sending a tab.
It is a GP5 tab. I saw that when you submit a tab, the simple fact of uploading a file wasn't necessary ; do you have to write the tab even if you already sent a GP5 file ?
Anyway, I tried to upload it as the link said, but it seems like my code doesn't work. I didn't understand how it works.
But I also read that you have to post it on the submission part ; I actually used the "Submit" beceause I just fulfilled a request (I couldn't have done it otherwise, coud I have ?)
Anyway, my main problem is in the uploading part, because I didn't manage to have it appearing properly.
I do not speak English as my first language, so I apologize for my mistakes.

hey tamae, along with the gp5 you also have to export an ASCII (text) file. In the tab file please upload a zip containg the text,gp5, and midi if you have one. Then post the text file into the tab field. Do not paste the file link in the tab field. So try resubmitting it and wait for a moderator to publish the tab.
And your english is fine. I never would have guessed it was a secondary language

It sort of works. Archard needs to fix it up a bit.

hslesperance -> So if I got it right, I have to put
_a .txt file in "Tab" section, and
_ a zip containing a GP5 file, a .txt, and a midi if I have one in the "Tab File section" ; is it correct ?
I'll give it another try later then. Thanks for explaining. And thanks for my English, too !
Edit : Oh, I think I got it this time. Is this possible to delete the first submit, which is improper ?

I did not find any way to delete it, hence my question ; thank you
By the way, do IOSYS's Touhou musics (And Touhou musics remixes over all) enter on the site ? They are not video game musics but remixes of video game musics ; and they're obviously not anime music too. But does it match with the site however ?
