There is no actual Christian meaning to the show, we just thought the visual symbols of Christianity look cool. If we had known the show would get distributed in the US and Europe we might have rethought that choice.

I didn't find it to be that great either, but I've been told some stuff gets lost in translation.

Also you should go watch GitS imo. The second season episode thats basically an homage to FMJ is my favorite :D

I've already watched all the way through once, the timing was perfect though, it was right when I was being required to read catcher in the rye for english 10, Jd Salinger references errywhere. It was like babbys first symbolism for me and boy was it fantastic

@lemon: EoE is the proper way to end NGE and is worth watching for the rebuild movies to get where they stand timeline-wise, if you care enough to bother. Dem movies are great so far though with 2 out of 4 already available, too bad anno's been using the delay card for the third one so much.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I liked all the violence. I thought the talking got to a point where it was nonsense. The ideas were deep, don't get me wrong; but I didn't like all the pointlessness. They tried to make it sound so deep that it ended up sounding shallow, if that makes sense. ^_^;;
