I got an email from a guy saying that the site graphics are too bright and a bit outdated.
He thinks it should look something a little more like this
What do you all think? Is he crazy in the coconut or does he have a good point? The options are as follows.
Keep the site the way it is.
Update the graphics as suggested above.
Update the site but do something completely different with it.
Go!

Another update on what i was working on.
I tried putting it on the sites actual background but it wont let me save it!
And Ha the quality really goes down when it's hosted on here XD
Might get carried away and redo the graphics on the whole site just for kicks.Lol

I think it needs a saying under it, like a slogan for the website. Still wanting to add some characters to it but dont want to overcrowd it.

i like that better than the first gio; youre right, too many random characters may overcrowd as you stated.
also, but this might just be me, perhaps the pickups should be on the left hand side instead? i dunno, but it almost takes away from the "game" part a bit, if you see what im saying.
i second the skins idea that was mentioned earlier as well! that would add a cool customization dynamic to the site; i also think a buddies list type thing would be kinda cool too, and like a rank tracker underneath the avatar or the username.
as far as a slogan would go... hmm.
i really dont know, thats a tough one, gimme som time and i might be able to think up something catchy, unless someone beats me to the bit, which is fine; this is just something usually good at, slogans and what not.
but the white is definately cooler and even fresher than the green.

I tried flipping it around like you said, it just seemed off the circle added too much weight too the side next to the logo, well to me. Im going to make the text a bit bigger though, still adding a little bit of detail to it, its the same logo as before, i just worked on it a bit longer. Added depth to it. But i will make both versions, a flipped one as well in my next update.

ahhh, id still like to see though, but i think you might be right in saying that too much weight might be added to one side, and it looks great the way it is... its still missing something though i think, damned if i can say what exactly...

also, ash, if i may say so, jacob has mentioned this a couple times too, but i for one agree with him in saying that guests should be given the ability to vote on tabs, whether they leave a comment or not, particularly with the new rating system as it is; itll go a long way towards recognition (for tabs that deserve it), and a few of my friends who frequent the site but arent registered users have complained that they cant put a vote in for tabs they like. just food for thought i suppose, but i think would be a great improvement for those who just like to browse the tabs without involvement in the community.

And OMFG with the logo, im having huge ideas for this one, This might be the best logo Ever made lmao. If the site has like skins I could make it react to each theme! :)
make the c buttons work and play zelda music when you play the right notes with a little animation. Then another theme for FF chars lol the possiblies are endless!

If you want to start another contest, you can do it! You don't have to suggest it or ask permission.
Although I'm a little contested out, myself--I can't speak for anyone else, obviously.
